About the playwright...
Rosemary FrisinoToohey's plays have been produced from New York to New Zealand. While her works in the Lazy Bee hive focus on fish, sex, and the anxieties of socks abandoned in a clothes dryer...where exactly do missing socks go?...she has also written successfully about the angst-ridden inhabitants of a fruitbowl and the running patterns of the humble cockroach. Her works include as well half-a-dozen plays set in elevators and a series featuring the one item of clothing unique to women, specifically, the bra.

She's written full-length comedies on death and Thanksgiving and prize-winning dramas on the Holocaust, a mass school shooting and the life of a garbageman.

Having completed a full-length musical on the Judith-Holofernes story from the Bible, she's now at work on a musical about a soldier who lost a limb in Afghanistan.
