Deborah graduated from Exeter University with an MA in Theare Practice and a BA (Hons) in Drama.

Deborah works as a Playwright and Musician, particularly enjoying working with schools to develop the talents of the future. She has performed with Tick Tock Music for three years bringing musical theatre to pre school audiences. She plays and teaches the Ukulele and enjoys composing songs as well as plays. Deborah is also a keen foodie and runs a weekly restaurant review blog with her husband.

Deborah is partially sighted and therefore has a great passion for radio and the power of the spoken word. "The Shelter Secrets" was developed from a short radio play produced by the Heritage Arts Company in 2014. Her first writing success was as a teenager when she had a short spy thriller "Walls Have Ears" recorded for local radio. In recent years she is proud to have worked with Insignficant Theatre who produced her monologue "Old Boy" in 2012, Hercules Productions for "New Cat" in 2015 and the Broadway Barking where her play "Set Menu" reached the finals of the 2010 ScriptThis Competiton.

Deborah's main influences are 20th Century History, children and cats. Her writer heroes are Jimmy Perry, Agatha Christie, Noel Coward and Alan Ayckbourn. She lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, two sons and cat.
