Overview...
     Licensing is a simple issue with lots of complicated boundaries!
Here we try to explain lots of issues about licences -
we try to tackle most of them in general terms, so they apply to scripts from any source
sometimes there are Lazy Bee Scripts quirks, if so, we try to say so!

These notes assume that you are dealing with copyrighted material.
The exact rules for copyright vary between countries.
In general it can be assumed that a work is in copyright if
  • The writer or composer is still alive or
  • The writer or composer died less than seventy years ago

There are also several overlapping areas of licensing these are all different issues.
