What's a Murder Mystery Event?
  • The audience members are brought together for a ficticious 'special event'. A murder takes place, which the participants are invited to solve.
  • In this case
    • The acting company performs two scripted scenes, during which, a murder is discovered
    • The audience are given two opportunities to interrogate the cast, plus witten background material containing additional clues
    • The audience (teams) make their accusations
    • A final set of scripted statements from the cast reveal the guilty
  • This Mystery Needs
    • An 'acting company' of 10 people, including at least 5 men and 4 women
    • One set comprising furniture
  • Estimated run times (which may vary enormously!)
    • Scripted elements: 45 minutes
    • Audience interrogation: 20 minutes

What's the Mystery Here?
It is September 1957 and the cast of long-running radio play, Major Siddlington Rides Out, are preparing to record the final episode. A select audience has been invited to witness this historic event and meet the cast and crew. However, tensions are running high and the cast and crew prove to be not quite the happy family that the public have been led to believe…
