The Bridge by Geoff Bamber

SynopsisA farmer and his family find their peaceful lives disturbed by representatives of various government ministries keen on making improvements to what is regarded as a rural backwater. Common sense flies out of the window as official policy documents are followed slavishly to provide the farmer with a fine, new and entirely unnecessary bridge.

Unfortunately their efforts are frustrated by a succession of inconvenient visitors getting in the way. Be Careful What You Wish For by Jon Boustead

Basically a story of family fights family, boy meets girl and most of the principals meet an untimely death. (But there are a few laughs on the way.)

Rhyming Nativity by Richard Coleman
