Despite Simeon's allegedly innocent intentions towards Louise, the last things he needs are the arrivals in quick succession of his long-estranged fifth wife, seeking a divorce and his long-term mistress, keen to be made into an honest woman. It's just as well that Simeon's solicitor is on hand to dig him out of the hole he is digging for himself.
