His Falstaffian urges land son Theo, a minister of the church, with the unenviable task of dealing with Maurice's demands by fulfilling his request for the services of a prostitute. Needless to say this causes something of a furore amongst the beaurocrats in the Social Services Department and places Theo in a somewhat compromising position...

In case Jacob's efforts to get Ebenezer to change his ways don't meet with success, he enlists the help of three ghostly friends. Will Christmas still be humbug or will Ebenezer see the light?
