StyleNot a true British Pantomime (lacks, for example, the ritual audience participation and pantomime dame), but contains many of the ingredients - plenty of jokes and extravagant characters.
SynopsisThe Sheriff of Nottingham has taken over Loxley Manor and plans to marry Marian. Prince John is coming to the wedding, together with his personal assistant and a passing bishop. Robin Hood assembles his Merry Men but with unexpected plans.

Jack and his Amazing Multi-Coloured Beanstalk by Geoff Bamber
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 4. Minimum total with doubling = 17. Minimum total without doubling = 25. Chorus. Though it is not specified in the script, Jack's Mother could be played by a Male (as a pantomime dame) and Jack could be played by a Female (as a panto principal boy). Cast includes a pantomime cow.

Jack and Jill by Susan Vesey
RolesMinimum Male roles = 5. Minimum Female roles = 6. Minimum total with doubling = 18. Minimum total without doubling = 24. Chorus. An unusual set of characters, including two fairies, three ducks, innumerable ducklings and Dobin the pantomime horse. (The duckling roles in particular are suitable for younger children.)

SynopsisWidow Winkle is unable to pay the rent to Baron Badbottom whose daughter, Jill, thinks Jack Winkle is really a prince and so wants to marry him. Unable to raise any funds, Jack tries to contact the Water Fairy he thinks lives in the well. Stan Winkle has, meanwhile, called on the Bag Fairy for help. But, the Baron has acquired the very last wish in the land, and they have to work out how to get it off him to make all their dreams come true.

The King of Spain's Treasure by Geoff Bamber
Performance by Cheshire Academy of Performing arts won the Syd Mence Trophy at the Wilmslow Guild One Act Play Festival may 2011 (for being 'a piece of magic'!)

SynopsisJim Hawkins, now in possession of the tattered map of a distant tropical island, sees a life of adventure and great riches beckoning but, as the story unfolds, he realises that he is not the only one with an interest in the treasure.

SynopsisPoor Mrs Elsie Goose is an all-round good sort, kind and generous to all even though she is as poor as a church mouse. Unfortunately pure goodness of spirit cannot pay Squire Tightfist's rent and so eviction stares her in the face. Help is at hand in the form of the Good Fairy who recognises Mrs Goose's selfless qualities and rewards her with the gift of Priscilla, a goose who lays golden eggs. To all intents and purposes Mrs Goose is now happy. Not so, says the Demon King, long-time adversary of the Good Fairy. He intends to show that nobody is ever really content with their lot. They always want more. Will he be proved right?

SynopsisThis cut-down version of the Dickens' Christmas classic has a Sherlock Holmes cameo for good measure. Audience interaction, a moral and starving orphans mean there's something for everyone here.

SynopsisThe days of the Three Musketeers are over. The only one left is Porthos, and it's his daughters, Angel and Crystal, who are given the job of guarding a princess, under theat from the arch-villain, Esmeralda - advisor to the king, but bent on the ruling in her own right. Angel, Crystal and the princess flee from a kidnap plot, and look for help from the legendary d'Artagnan. What they find is not d'Artagnan but his unlikely son, Nigel, who is going to need a little training to become a hero...

Pantomonium by Simon Sladen

There are a few parts that are definitely one gender or the other, but this is pantomime, and therefore very flexible in this respect. Characters include a giant and a pantomime cow.

The Prince and the Pussycat by Jon Dwyer

There is no formal role for a pantomime dame, but the Queen could be cast as a dame (as could Primrose!) Likewise, the prince could be played by a female as a pantomime principal boy.
