StyleFull-length black comedy, with a single setting - an allotment. (Hence the title - a reference to a standard allotment plot size.)
SynopsisAlf, Joe and Walter, all in their 70s, return from the funeral of their old army colleague and neighbouring, allotment holder, Ted. Their immediate concern is who will take over Ted's now vacant allotment. Their worst fears materialise when Sylvia and boyfriend Shadbolt, neither of whom have a clue about gardening, are given Ted's plot. Sylvia seems friendly enough but Shadbolt goes out of his way to be difficult and anti-social. The resulting feud between the old chaps and the loathsome Shadbolt takes a serious turn and they are forced to use their old army tactics to take desperate measures to permanently rid themselves of the obnoxious intruder. In the process they uncover Shadbolt's past and an unexpected connection to Sylvia...
