RolesMinimum Male roles = 5. Minimum Female roles = 5. Minimum total with doubling = 15. Minimum total without doubling = 26. Chorus. Thirteen speaking roles with lots of supporting players (with a lot of scope for doubling). The songs need three or four soloists and a chorus or choir.

SynopsisSomeone is plotting against the Pharaoh! On a visit to the construction site of his much-delayed pyramid, his life is threatened by a falling stone. Luckily, Baki, one of the slave builders, saves the Pharaoh and is rewarded with his freedom. Then Baki learns that the Pharaoh has had four food-tasters poisoned in the last three weeks. Can he save the Pharaoh's life again?
