There is a lot of flexibility available in the casting: it would be possible, for example, to play Aladdin as a pantomime principal boy (played by F) and Widow Twankey as a Dame (played by M). Minimum total without doubling = 10. No chorus. As with all such pantomimes, there's a lot of flexibility in the casting - two of the female parts could be played by males as pantomime dames, the hero could be played by a female - the traditional pantomime principal boy. Minimum total with doubling = 20. Minimum total without doubling = 22. Chorus. The chorus (Captain Sprague's crew) is optional. There are nominally four police constables, but these could be increased or decreased in number. Run Time Around 50 minutes. Synopsis When prosperous businessman Edwin Merryweather is mysteriously lost at sea together with his wife, Constance, their two children, Lizzie and Tizzy, are placed in the care of their Aunt Lydia and her new husband, Lemuel Viper. Viper has his sights set on the Merryweather fortune but he cannot get his hands on that while Lizzie and Tizzy are alive. He hatches a plot to have the girls done to death in Spooky Wood but the ineptitude of the hired killers, the interference of a posse of belligerent elves and the appearance a rather sinister old lady ensure that his plans do not run smoothly. Minimum total without doubling = 25. Chorus. Run Time Around 60 minutes. [Estimated!] Structured as two acts, but could be played as a long one-act. Music Lazy Bee Scripts does not supply any sheet music with this script. Style British pantomime - a Cinderella sequel. Two acts in structure, but on the boundary between a one-act and full-length show in run-time. Synopsis A year has passed since Cinderella became Queen. Buttons has the catering contract for Prince Charming's Ball and he employs Ciabatta and Cappuccino, the ugly sisters who have returned in disguise, as cooks. Cinderella's stepmother, Elvira, has taken a correspondence course and is now a powerful fairy, able to defeat the Fairy Godmother. Cinderella ends up as a scullery maid, unable to speak, and with the name Linda, and Buttons falls in love all over again. Who can restore the balance of magic and save the day? Slapstick and silliness, lots of jokes and a crocodile. Synopsis Captain Hook plots his revenge on Peter Pan, with the help of a crocodile and a poisoned cake. Peter Pan, Tonkerbell (the punk fairy) and the crocodile have other ideas. (Follows much of the plot of Peter Pan, but has more collisions with trees.) Traditionally, the ugly sisters (Sharon and Tracy, in this case) would be played by chaps and prince charming would be played by a girl - but this is optional, so make up your own mind about who does what!
