What's it all about?
  • A murder mystery for a dinner party or other small gathering where the guests act-out the mystery and try to guess "whodunnit"  
  • A cast of four (2 male, 2 female)

  • The guests act out roles and interrogate each other on the basis of information provided  
  • Designed for a "closed party" (where the party guests play the roles) but comes with an option  for a small group of actors to play the roles and for other guests to join in the interrogation and accusation!

Lazy Bee Scripts supplies a pack of material for the performing company including:-
  • An Overview for the party organiser
    • An "order of play"
    • Guidelines for how to deal with the other materials
    • Guidelines for the options of a "closed party" or "in front of an audience"
  • A Role Pack for each of the four characters 
    • Scripted opening dialogue (which sets the scene and develops character and background)
    • Character Brief - background notes for the character, plus suggested lines of enquiry for interrogating the other characters

Note that this is not a play!  Lazy Bee Scripts provides a scripted opening, but the rest is designed to be improvised by the players based on information provided in the Role Packs.
 

What's a Murder Mystery Party?

What's in this story?
It is Christmas Eve on Croma Isle, Scotland. Helena, Nick and Jock are guests at the Forest Park Guesthouse which is run by Anastasia. It is an ideal location to escape their hectic London lives as it overlooks the stunning hills of Corby, Loch Stanion and Glen Weldon.
They were due to leave the island today and return to London but the taxi hasn’t arrived to take them to the harbour to catch the ferry.
What brought these people to Croma in the first place and how are their lives intertwined?
 
What do I need to Buy?
Lazy Bee Scripts scripts charges two fees:-
  • A flat fee of £15 for the murder mystery party pack
    • Downloadable from the Internet as a Zip file
    • Containing master files (in .pdf formats) of all the essential materials
    • That's all you need if you are using the pack in a "closed party"

  • A fee of £20 for each performance if the mystery is played out by an acting company in front of a wider audience
