Get to Dance

Style One-act play for a youth-theatre company.
Synopsis A window in to the lives of the members of a dance academy and their 'welcome' for new member Georgina, an overweight teenager who has decided to try dancing as a last resort in her determination to overcome her weight problem. This one act play deals with bullying in all of its forms with humour, music, dance and pathos as Georgina's journey progresses to its uplifting conclusion. Along the way her stoic strength of character enables her to peel away repressed emotions in others and helps them to come to terms with their own difficulties.

Harmony

Synopsis Established as a haven or harmonious living, the village of Harmony is waiting for the prophesied visitors that will declare the village the happiest in the world and bring about world peace. But Lizzy and Bez have dropped in on the vital day, and they will change everything.

Murder Mansion

Synopsis Alex and Tabby are Private Detectives, and their latest case is really tricky, because the house they are supposed to be looking for clues in, is full of a movie crew rehearsing a horror film. Can they find the murderer and lost diamonds?

The Strictly Talent Factory

Style Comedy play with (suggested) songs. In length it's on the boundary between a one-act play and a full-length play (it could occupy a full evening or be paired with a shorter piece). Structurally in two acts.
Synopsis A musical play with energy, fizz, music and dance. In a world dominated by television talent competitions two families with great ambition battle it out for the ultimate prize of celebrity. The Lemons and the Greens continue a long-running feud with each other on to a TV talent show. With an astute use of Shakespearian themes and quotations ('the perfect antidote to all this madness') along with imaginative settings and flashbacks we are taken on a modern journey with a wry and satirical comment on reality television and the culture of celebrity.

Marvellous Marie

Caesar and the Pirates [Short Version]

Style Comedy play for kids - great fun (and secretly educational) about a genuine event in Caesar's life.

Synopsis An older Caesar is recounting his campaigns in Gaul to a bored scribe, who suggests that it might benefit Caesar's public image to tell a tale of his younger days... Something dashing, perhaps, involving pirates? As it happens, Caesar does know such a story...

Rhyming Treasure Island

Ali Baba and the Four Thieves

Style Comedy play for kids, with an economic rendering of the Arabian classic.
Synopsis When Makram the miller is robbed of some bags of gold dust he decides to retire and turn over the mill to his elder son, Cassim. However it is his other son, Ali Baba, who locates the thieves' secret cave and retrieves his father's gold. When Cassim learns of the cave his greed gets the better of him. Unfortunately the brutal thieves then get the better of Cassim. To make matters worse they vow to track down whoever found their cave in the first place.

Detective Mimms and The Snaffler

Style One-act comedy play for kids. Multiple sets, but these are minimal - indicative only, and in any case most of them are stolen during the course of the play.
Synopsis Ace sleuth Detective Mimms is called in to oversee the hunt for the daring thief known only as The Snaffler. The Snaffler will, quite literally, snaffle anything and the whole country is in a state of high anxiety. Can Mimms, assisted by PC Flint, halt this alarming crime wave before it is too late?
