All the pantomimes described below can be read in full on the Lazy Bee Scripts web site. (Click on the links to see the complete online panto scripts.) However, all the scripts on this site are copyrighted. They may not be printed, quoted or performed without the permission of Lazy Bee Scripts. The scripts are British pantomimes. If you are not British, then pantomime probably means something different to you (and the scripts may be rather unexpected) - check out What is a Pantomime anyway?
If you want to narrow your search, we have listings in five categories: full-cast, full-length pantomimes, small-cast, full-length pantomimes, shows with a small cast and no chorus roles, risqué pantomimes, which may not be suitable for a family audience (a matter of opinion, of course, so look for yourself!), Small cast, family shows (alternative to panto) - James Barry's hilarious niche market!, plus a few others middle-sized panto scripts (generally suitable for schools and simple productions), short, rhyming pantomime scripts (again, suitable for junior productions or for slipping into a mixed entertainment event). 1001 Arabian Nights and a matineeAuthortlc Creative

Style British Pantomime. Slapstick, visual jokes, puns, mayhem and a camel.
Synopsis There's trouble brewing in old Baghdad! Unless the Princess Jasmina marries before her 21st Birthday, the evil Vizier will take control of the city! Things look grim... but hang on! A posse of would-be heroes are here to save the day! The love sick Ali Barber (who pines for the Princess), his dim witted brother Singbad the sailor and his fearsome mother, Dame Barber are ready to intervene and foil the villain's fiendish plot. They are helped along the way by their pal 'Bob' (a lad with a secret), a pantomime camel named Humpy and a lady Genie who's been stuck in a magic ruby for far too long!

A Boy and A Snow BallAuthorSusan Vesey

Style British pantomime based on an original interpretation of the story of Snow White and the Seven something-or-other. Jokes, slapstick and mayhem!
Synopsis Many years ago tragedy struck the Kingdom of Snowdonia, leaving baby Princess Snow White an orphan. The beautiful but wicked Queen who took over as Regent now plans to trick Snow White into signing over her kingdom permanently when she marries Prince Kevin. There is only one problem: Snow White and Prince Kevin can't stand the sight of each other so the Queen comes up with another plan involving a poisoned apple.

A Boy and His CatAuthorSusan Vesey
Roles Minimum Male roles = 3. Minimum Female roles = 5. Minimum total with doubling = 26. Minimum total without doubling = 33. Chorus. Lots of pantomime juxtapositions possible, plus cat, dog, rats, woodland creatures and the appearance (possibly the first) of the pantomime octopus.

Style Full-length British pantomime.
Synopsis The story of Dick Whittington re-told in Panto style with a dog, a cat and numerous rats.
A novel (science fiction!) twist on the story, in which Dick is tricked into a body exchange and has to clear his name and regain his own body in time to marry his true love.

A Boy and Some BeansAuthorSusan Vesey
Roles Minimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 7. Minimum total with doubling = 20. Minimum total without doubling = 40. Chorus. Characters include the usual pantomime assortment (Dame, usually played by a man, Principal Boy, usually played by a girl) and a pantomime cow.

Music Eight songs suggested. Original lyrics to some of the songs are included in the producer's copy of the scripts. Lazy Bee Scripts does not supply any sheet music with this script.
Style Full-length British Pantomime (magical characters and events, parodies, silliness and general mayhem!). Note that some of the scenes are optional and can be left out without harming the plot!
Synopsis To pay the rent on the family home, Jack has to sell the beloved cow. On the way home he gives the money to a crone in exchange for a magic bean and falls in love with the daughter of the Baron who's demanding the rent in the first place. Fast forward to the next day and the whole crowd are up the giant beanstalk to discover a smallish giant who hasn't been eating the girls sent up to him on their twenty-first birthdays, but has been treating them in his theme park, Ogreland. Thus Jack's long-lost sister is now, in fact, the Giant's wife, and even the Baron's wife is still alive and kicking. She redoes the Baron's accounts and finds enough money that everyone is let off rent for a year and Jack can marry his girl.

Synopsis Anyone to whom the title seems familiar will recognise what is being parodied here.
The Evil Mange is trying to take over the galaxy but the planet Diptheria is yet to fall. If he can get the mystic Golden Thermos of Queeg, he'll have the power he needs. He recruits young Flash Artois to get it, but things don't work out as he hopes...

Synopsis The Kingdom of Evermore is nearly bankrupt, thanks to the thieving of evil butler Skulk. To restore their fortunes, the Princess Daisy is to be married to rich but thick Lord Larry of Luton, but then she meets George and falls in love. Will Skulk stop the match to get his hands on Larry's loot too, or can Willow the ghost come to the rescue?

A Stranger's Guide to PantoAuthorLeo Finn
Roles Minimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 2. Minimum total with doubling = 6. Minimum total without doubling = 8. No chorus. The numbers in the cast depend on how you deal with the dragon (two people, one person or one doubling with the villain.) Most of the roles - except the Heroine and, because this is panto, the Hero, are written male.

Style Short (sketch-length) narrated British pantomime. Simple to stage (single set) give or take the dragon.
Synopsis A quick review of the major points of that most peculiarly British of shows, the Pantomime. A show that explains comedy through comedy.

Synopsis Prince Ahmed is looking for the lost pyramid to try and lift the curse on his family. He meets the beautiful Ophelia but can't marry until the curse is lifted. With her father and a group of heroes he must overcome greedy robbers and a mummy to claim his true love.

Style British Pantomime. Strong characters - dynamic hero, hissable villain, camp genie, henpecked emperor, etc. Packed with jokes, wordplay and sight gags.
Synopsis Mayhem in China as the wicked Abanaza wields the magic lamp with its great and powerful genie, and captures the Emperor's daughter. Aladdin comes to the rescue, with the aid of Widow Twankey and the camp Genie of the Ring.
