A Letter to Santa	Author	Sue Gordon

	Synopsis	A school class write Christmas letters to Santa, and we discover that they are dealt with by Mrs. Santa and a bunch of fractious elves.

A Magic Paint Brush	Author	Gerald P. Murphy

Whilst Chen is written as a girl, the character could easily be switched to a boy (likewise Old Sing and the Magician are written male but could be female). 	Synopsis	In feudal China, Chen and her mother are oppressed by their landlord and his greedy, vindictive family. Then a magician arrives and gives Chen a magic paint brush, painting with it makes dreams come true...

	Synopsis	Rats are taking over the rich town of Hamelin, so when an eccentrically dressed stranger offers to drive them away, the Mayor offers to heap him with gold. However, when the rats have disappeared, so has the Mayor's promise, till the stranger reminds the town of his musical prowess.

Jungle Rock	Author	Sue Gordon

A cast of lots of animals, five narrators and three lumberjacks! 	Synopsis	The lions, rhinos and monkeys inhabit different parts of the jungle, which is fine because they can't agree on anything. Fine, that is, until the lumberjacks arrive and the jungle starts to get smaller. Can a strange hybrid animal called Eddie save them from themselves.

Minny Pinny Makes a Difference	Author	Stuart Ardern

Abanaza traps Aladdin in a cave, but with a lot of magical help Aladdin escapes and (after a few twists and turns) love triumphs.
