1001 Arabian Nights and a matineeAuthortlc Creative
Roles Minimum Male roles = 3. Minimum Female roles = 6. Minimum total with doubling = 13. Minimum total without doubling = 17. Chorus. Characters include a pantomime camel. Dame assumed to be played by male, principal boy by female.

Style British Pantomime. Slapstick, visual jokes, puns, mayhem and a camel.
Synopsis There's trouble brewing in old Baghdad! Unless the Princess Jasmina marries before her 21st Birthday, the evil Vizier will take control of the city! Things look grim... but hang on! A posse of would-be heroes are here to save the day! The love sick Ali Barber (who pines for the Princess), his dim witted brother Singbad the sailor and his fearsome mother, Dame Barber are ready to intervene and foil the villain's fiendish plot. They are helped along the way by their pal 'Bob' (a lad with a secret), a pantomime camel named Humpy and a lady Genie who's been stuck in a magic ruby for far too long!

Style British pantomime for a small cast. Fast-paced verbal comedy.
Synopsis A twisted tale of lamps, genies and wishes - not the regular Aladdin story, even though it contains most of the common elements!

Ali BabaAuthorBob Hammond

Ali Baba is an old man, his wife is the pantomime dame, Hassan, their son, the principal boy (so played by a girl). After that, you can make up your own mind!

Style Large-cast British Pantomime based on a tale from the 1001 Arabian Nights cycle.
Synopsis Al-Sakr and his band of forty thieves have a cave full of their stolen treasure. Ali Baba finds it - leading to no end of trouble (and a lot of jokes)...

Ali Baba and the Forty ThievesAuthorStuart Ardern
Roles Minimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 3. Minimum total with doubling = 21. Minimum total without doubling = 30. Chorus. Comes with the opportunity for the usual pantomime gender juxtapositions. Includes a pantomime camel. There are four named thieves, and the author recommends another six to make up to forty, though it might be possible with fewer!

Music Piano and vocal scores for 10 original songs and a dance are included with the Producer's Copy of the script.
Style British pantomime with magic, spectacle, music, visual jokes, slapstick and verbal humour.
Synopsis Ali Baba falls for the Sultan's daughter and determines to impress her by retrieving valuables stolen by a band of thieves. Unfortunately, the thieves have other ideas. Ali has Salma, the resourceful servant girl, a Genie, a camel with integral SatNav, and, of course, his mother to call on, but what he really needs is an audience to help him win through!

Roles Minimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 2. Minimum total with doubling = 14. Minimum total without doubling = 16. Chorus. The chorus is optional. The cast includes a pantomime camel and the usual pantomime juxtopositions - with the dame played by a man and the 'principal boy' role open to a lady.

Music Eight songs are suggested in the Producer's Copy of the scripts, with alternative lyrics to one of them. Lazy Bee Scripts does not supply any sheet music with this script.
Style Full-length British pantomime - jokes, slapstick, that sort of thing. One scene is a bit bloodthirsty, but the authors provide an alternative in the Producer's Copy of the script!
Synopsis Ali Baba overhears the thieves password to get into their treasure cave. Unfortunately for him, the thieves find out and sneak after him disguised as oil jars! (Fortunately for Ali, the thieves are rather incompetent and, for many years, have stolen little but tea!)

Style A simple version of 'Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves' told in rhyme, minimal set requirements.
Synopsis Like all pantomime heroes, Ali Baba is broke. On his way to look for work, he witnesses a band of thieves hiding treasure in a secret cave. He overhears their password and helps himself to their treasure. Unfortunately, the thieves find out and track him down by hiding in storage jars.
