Classification
This search is "anything less than the maximum rating" - so if you search for rating 15, the result will also contain items of rating U, PG and 12.
We have attempted to use the British Film Classification categories, however, please note that there is no formal
rating system for stage plays, and that reaction to something on the stage may be different to the same scene in
the cinema.
U = Universal - there should be no distasteful content. (That doesn't mean it won't scare your child! Many nursery stories have frightening elements - Red Riding Hood and the wolf, for example!)
PG = No age restriction, but Parental Guidance is advised. In general, scripts in this category may contain limited innuendo, and limited violence (stage fights, for example). They will not contain swearing.
12 = Suitable for adults and children of 12 years and over. May contain limited swearing, examples of intolerance and non-explicit discussion of sexual issues.
15 = Suitable for anyone aged 15 and over. May contain swearing, stage violence and sexual issues.
18 = Suitable for anyone aged 18 and over. (We have yet to even consider publishing anything in this category.)
