Search Tips
- The search categories are designed to help you narrow your field of search - if you are looking for something
very specific, then they will help. On the other hand, if you have very broad requirements, the fewer fields you
constrain, the more choice you will have
- The categories are not exact! Therefore if you use too many constraints, your search may miss something that
would fit your purposes.
- Some of the categories overlap (sometimes unexpectedly) For example, some of the plays fit into both the Full-Length
and One-act category. If you want a one-act play, the best option is to say "Yes" to one act "I
Don't Mind!" to Full Length and to specify a maximum run-time.
- It is quite easy to set impossible search criteria - the easiest way is to set the minimum number of roles
higher than the maximum. The search engine will not give any error messages, it will just fail to find any scripts!
- Beware of leaving criteria behind from a previous search (if you use the back button from the search results
page, your previous search criteria will be displayed). You can clear the search back to the defaults, using the
"Reset" button.
