Bill was a Primary School teacher for 30 plus years and first turned his hand to writing scripts when he couldn't find one to produce. He wrote his first script 'Kids in Tights' for year 5 and 6 children to perform.
The production was so well received by both the performers and the audience that Bill was inspired to write more. Later Bill collaborated with talented musician Lea Anderson to convert the script into a musical with Lea writing the melodies for Bill's lyrics. They have since worked together on several projects. Bill has also collaborated with Jonny Arden with Jonny writing the music for Bill's lyrics.

Novel
In addition to scripts for musicals and plays Bill has also published a short novel available on Amazon in paperback and for Kindle.
"The Dark Men of Biddulph Moor" is a story which begins in the Third Crusade and ends in the present day.
A Saracen is entrusted with the safekeeping of the Holy Grail by the Knights Templar when he accompanies his master back to North Staffordshire. Local history of the area has been meticulously researched and skillfully interwoven with local legends. It also deals with the theme of bullying which would be of interest to readers of school age. |
