About the playwright...
Rosemary FrisinoToohey's plays have been produced around the world more than 400 times. While her works in the Lazy Bee hive focus on fish, sex, and the anxieties of socks abandoned in a clothes dryer...just exactly where do missing socks go?...she has also written successfully about troubled starlings, the angst-ridden inhabitants of a fruit bowl and the running patterns of the humble cockroach. Her works include as well half-a-dozen plays set in elevators and a series featuring the one item of clothing unique to women...the bra.

She's written full-length comedies on death and Thanksgiving as well as prize-winning dramas on the Holocaust, school shootings, the life of a garbageman, and the Italian internment in the US during World War II.

Her chamber musical, Judy And The General, for which she wrote the book, words and music, found a happy home at Spotlighters Theatre in Baltimore. She's also enjoyed penning a comedy about two wounded people who find love.
