Murder Mysteries

Richard Adams is a retired primary school head teacher with a long history of writing plays for church and school productions. Death on Delivery was his first published murder mystery, closely followed by Mystic Myrtle which have become two of Lazybee's best sellers. His third-An Inspector Pops In was published in July 2017. In April 2018 he added a fourth - Who's the Maddest of them All? and his latest - Breaking Windows was specially written for Cleveleys Park Players to solve casting problems, each part being custom-written for the volunteers who wanted to be in it. Casting problem solved at a stroke (or several) of the pen! Lazybee published it in December 2018.
He is also a seasoned performer and director in Amateur Theatre so he knows the possibilities and limitations of working in Church or Village Halls, but likes to push the skills of amateur actors and backstage crew to their limits.
From Minimum Theatre to Cleveleys Park Players
For nine years Richard wrote, performed and directed his own inter-church company Minimum Theatre, which toured local churches and other venues in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. In 2012 he moved to Thornton Cleveleys in Lancashire, where he acted and directed as a member of Cleveleys Park Players. He has recently (June 2021) moved to Clifton, Nottingham, where he hopes to get involved locally as soon as his household effects are out of their boxes. STOP PRESS - Richard's latest Murder Mystery Getting Away With It published January 2023 after a trial run by Cleveleys Park Players, and close on it's heels(March 2023) came I'd Sooner See Him Dead having been successfully premiered by Keevil Drama Group, Wiltshire (see below).
