Working in the Following Genre:
One-Act Plays
About Me Theatre has always been my passion—whether I’m writing, performing, or simply watching from the audience, it fills just about every spare moment I have.
If you're looking for a one-act festival piece or a short play to plug a gap in your programme, I might just have what you need. And if you’re performing one of my plays—brilliant! Please do drop me a line. When I can, I love attending productions (and I promise not to prompt from the wings!).

My Scripts All of my plays were written specifically for one-act drama festivals, and I’m delighted to say they’ve done quite well on the circuit (see below). They're designed to be accessible, easy to stage, and very much community-venue friendly—they’ve all been performed in church halls and are extremely unlikely to cause offence.

Looking for some light relief? Flaming Liberty The Next Big Thing I Now Pronounce You
These three light-hearted comedies follow the same group of wonderfully hopeless characters across different adventures. They can be performed individually or combined into a two- or three-act show for a full evening of entertainment.
My personal favourite? The Next Big Thing.
Together, they’ve picked up many festival awards, including
Festival Runner-Up – BFAME AETF
Best Overall Attainment with a New Play – José Grant Diamond Jubilee Trophy |
Want something with a bit more emotional depth? Farewell
Was written with one-act festivals in mind, offering actors the chance to really stretch their emotional range. It’s a moving piece that explores loss and connection, and it’s been recognised with awards for both Best Actor and Best Original Script.
It was even recently used by GoDA for their adjudicator training taster day. Yes—it’s a play about undertakers, but don’t let that put you off. Have a read and see what you think!
Lastly
- The Pop Man.
A character-driven piece that’s picked up a few accolades along the way
