Over the last thirty-five years Barry has tried his hand at writing, acting, directing and all sorts of backstage jobs with a variety of amdram groups. These days, though, he concentrates on writing. Twenty-three of his plays had been performed by more than ten different groups in south east England before he finally got round to getting some of his work published in 2019. Now he is delighted to find that his scripts have been sampled in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand as well as all over the UK. He strives to keep audiences entertained, tending to favour light-hearted comedies, although he does occasionally stray into more serious subject matter. |
