Bert Wallace is a Professor of Theatre at Campbell University in bucolic Buies Creek, North Carolina, USA, where he teaches Theatre History, Directing, Playwriting, and Introduction to Theatre (a course for non-majors). He also regularly directs plays and is the Director of the Theatre Education track. |
His produced plays include "The Purse", "Everyman Reformed", "Porcupine Meringue", and an adaptation of Paul Green's novel "This Body the Earth", produced in cooperation with the Paul Green Foundation, Chapel Hill, NC. His play "Oney" was a winner in the Barebones Short Play Festival. His play "We Shall Fire the Southern Heart" was a finalist in the Christians in Theatre Arts Playwriting Competition (Full-Length). |
His book, "Style-An Approach to Appreciating Theatre," is being published by Routledge Press in June of 2022. |
He lives in Buies Creek with his wife, Kelley, and their two children. |
