THEATRICIAL BACKGROUND
I have been involved as actor and director in the amateur theatre since the 1960s. I met and married a fellow actor and director and we have been involved together in the amateur theatre ever since. We settled in Yorkshire 30 years ago and now assess and mark productions for the Wharfedale Festival of Theatre and are longstanding members of our local award-winning drama group the Adel Players. In addition to writing murder mysteries for performance by this and other local groups I have also written two World War One commemorations and a local history play for performance in the local church.

I frequently give talks about early 20th century feminist playwright and children's author Githa Sowerby, and in 2019 I gave a pre-show talk at the National Theatre during the run of Githa's most famous play "Rutherford & Son".
