Full-Length Plays
As an ex-journalist, script writer for Corporate videos and PR writer, Nick has considerable experience in all types of writing. In 2016 he wrote his first comedy play/musical, The Deacon Posers, which was duly performed by the Thurgoland Thespians to great acclaim in 2017. He then submitted this script to the BBC Open Call 2022 opportunity.
Whilst they received a staggering 4,718 scripts to read and select from, The Deacon Posers did progress to a second reading for the 30 page sift. This means that the script was placed in the top 12% of all scripts received.
The Deacon Posers is to be revised and resubmitted to Lazy Bee Scripts in the near future.

A Round Turn and Three Half Hitches was written in 2022 and is a much easier production and is ideally suited for a more elderly theatre group. Having had it approved and accepted by Lazy Bee Scripts, the plan is to submit it for review by the BBC again, should they have another Open Call competition.
