What's an Interactive Murder Mystery?
  • A combination of drama from an acting company and detective work from the audience
  • In this case
    • A murder mystery in which a cast plays two scripted scenes during which a murder takes place.
    • On the basis of what they have witnessed, plus background material from the Table Pack, the audience interrogates the suspects.
    • The audience (teams) declare their suspicions.
    • The (surviving) cast members play a final denouement scene.

What's the Mystery Here?
On 21st August 1926, the drawing room of Siddlington Hall is busy with family, staff and friends, gathered to prepare for an engagement party. The gathering includes:-
George Trumpington-Smyth whose engagement is being celebrated
Mary Strafford, George's fiancée
George's father, Sir Charles Trumpington-Smyth
Sir Charles' wife, and mother of George, Lady Jane Trumpington-Smyth
Archibald Williams, a famous archaeologist
Archie's assistant, Annette Webster
John Tallis, valet to Sir Charles
Helen Southern, lady's maid
American film star Dotty Mayfield
With Dotty's arrival, things get unexpectedly heated. Later, shots ring out, and there's a murder for the audience to solve.
The acting company is augmented by a 'Narrator' who acts as master of ceremonies for the mystery.
