What's the Mystery Here?
All is not well at the Hamilton Zoo - there is financial trouble, various staff members are leading troubled lives and the animals have started dying in mysterious circumstances. The head of security, Ian Collingham, fancies himself as a detective and interrogates the suspects:-
Managing director Miriam Hamilton who is determined to keep the zoo running at all costs.
Kate, the apprentice zookeeper with a troubled past.
Carl, a zoo volunteer whose late wife was fond of the zoo.
Sheila, the hard-drinking head of finance.
Mriam's son, Matt Hamilton, who isn't particularly fond of animals.
The director of conservation, Peter Wren, who is a gambler.
Martha Leakey, the gift shop assistant with a fondness for jelly babies.
The zoo's resident vet, Lottie Baker, who's mind is on her sick mother.
Ian manifestly fails to solve the mystery, which is where the audience can step in to help (under the guidance of the Commentator).
