What's an Interactive Murder Mystery?
  • A combination of drama from an acting company and detective work from the audience
  • In this case
    • The acting company performs the mystery in two acts (with an optional additional musical interlude in the first act)
    • The audience assesses the evidence from the performance and makes (written) accusations.
    • The cast perform a final scene to reveal whodunnit.
    • Prizes are awarded to the best solution (or not, if you don't want to!)
  • This Mystery Needs
    • An 'acting company' of 9 to 12 people, including at least 4 men and 5 women
    • One set comprising furniture and flats or backdrops
  • Estimated run times (which may vary enormously!)

What's the Mystery Here?
In the Shangri-La Residential Home Martha died, even before the rest of the residents finished breakfast. That was when the trouble really started.
The people involved were
Ray Toppe joint owner of the home and a dabbler in other schemes
Jenny Toppe Ray's wife, with financial worries
Heather First care assistant at the home
Ben Harvey the local Vicar
Martin Backhurst resident and retired army officer
Aggie Hurst resident, a former university professor
Cedric Pedlar an obsessive, nosey retired postal worker
Victoria Call the last of the residents
Jenny and Ray's main concern is filling the newly created vacancy - but why is Ray pointing a gun at Major Backhurst? What has Heather, the care assistant overheard? Has Cedric noticed something he shouldn’t? Why is Aggie so annoyed with Victoria? And what will the Vicar learn about the deceased?

  • A fee of £38.00 for each live performance to an audience (regardless of the audience size)
  • A fee of £38.00 for each livestreamed performance to a paying audience.
  • A fee of £19.00 for each livestreamed performance to a non-paying audience.
