Doctor Hoof by Diana Kimpton
RolesMinimum Male roles = 0. Minimum Female roles = 0. Minimum total with doubling = 6. Minimum total without doubling = 8. Chorus. All characters are animals behaving as humans (with options for any mix of gender). Flexible singing chorus (from none to lots).

StyleShort play for children. (It might be described as a light comedy or a light morality play.) Minimal set requirements.
SynopsisDoctor Hoof only treats other horses. When he moves to a new town, he finds he's the only horse around, so there's no one for him to treat. Helped by the other animals, he gradually learns they are not as different from him as he thought.

Doggy Noire by Jamie Hope

SynopsisBonzo the enforcer has brought Paulette the Poodle to the bridge, as arranged, but who is being set up for a fall? When Big Fido arrives, it turns out there may not be any winners, since the rats that come with him have grudges of their own.

SynopsisA young couple, John and Suzan, stranded in a remote village cut off from the outside world by blizzards are given warm hospitality in her charming little cottage by seemingly kind old lady, Mrs Latham. It is gradually revealed that, in the past, her cottage was the scene of an unsolved murder in which she may have been involved and that intriguingly Suzan bears an uncanny resemblance to the victim. This gives the play the germ of a Gothic feel and sets the scene for an exciting, at times gripping and ultimately heart-warming tale.

One year later in the same hotel, the same busy foyer, they meet again as friends. More information about past events comes to light - enough to clear the way to give them a future together?
