Told from the point of view of a teenage girl, Anna, a jealous friend of Mary. It brings out the difficulty of Mary's situation within her community, but the resolution is joyous and uplifting.

Their sister Antigone defies Creon's order and wants to arrange an honourable burial for Polynices.
