Parish Politics by Anne Graham

SynopsisIt is 1663. The Civil War may be over but personal battles are still being fought in this English village, whilst ever-harsher laws and severe punishments breed fear, greed and superstition. An illegitimate child born to a single mother is a potential burden on the parish, so apart from the loss of her good name, the mother faces a public thrashing, particularly when the new petty constable is driven by personal revenge.

Supervisor Marjorie is frustrated in her attempts to shelter her girls, Gill and Sally, from his sexist antics until newcomer Helen presents her with a delicious opportunity to make sure that Mr. Crawley gets his just desserts.

SynopsisA witty look at the lives and loves of twin sisters Andrea and Jane. They work out their weight problems at the gym, much to the embarrassment of Jane's daughter Emma who works there, and then work out their relationship problems at the pub with a post gym drink or two. Joined by husband Tommy, who Jane is convinced is having an affair, recently divorced younger sister Nikki with her supportive friend Cally and just jilted Emma, the family work out and work through their individual difficulties together.
