SynopsisAs the twentieth century dawns, the United States of America is the land of opportunity. There are plenty of ways to make a quick buck, but the quickest and biggest bucks are made by the scam artists. Having a conscience is a bit of a handicap for confidence trickster Jeff Peters. He decides against the advice of his business partner to include a real woman in his marriage agency scam. Will he find out that women are the honest sex, or will he discover that a woman can be the equal of a man in dishonesty? Will he break the habit of a lifetime, and trust a bank? In this tale of cross and double-cross, who gets the loot?

The Trip by Jonathan Caldicot

SynopsisTwenty teenagers are on an outward bound-style field trip as a team-building exercise, but when they all reach the rendezvous point, the teacher is not there to meet them with the bus. Have the brain-boxes been reading the maps wrong? With the one cell phone lost, can they work out a solution before night falls?

Trouble at Inverbraw by Alan J. Laing

The main characters include English, Scottish and American accents. There are 6 'hotel workers' whose numbers could be cut a little if needed, plus two silent 'elves!' SynopsisJenny and Jack run a hotel in financial trouble. There's a chance that some of the new guests may want to buy the place and solve the problem, but of course, things are never that simple in the hotel business.

SynopsisJoe Parry is being harassed by his wife for lending money to his feckless friend, Dai German. He is sent to retrieve the cash, but returns instead with a mirror. To avoid more scorn, he convinces his wife it's a revolutionary dieting aid, and a few minutes in front of the mirror can remove pounds. While she sits in front of it, he fiddles the scales to give the correct result, and it's not long before all the local women are dropping in to check out the rumour. Meanwhile Joe has brought Dai round to sort the problem before the truth comes to light - but the result is a confrontation which ends with the mirror in shards... with an unexpected revelation.

SynopsisThree women, from three generations of a family, sit on a bench overlooking the beach in Tenby. Tegwyn has decided to send her mother Gwendolyn to an old people's home for a few days, but is uncomfortable about it. Tegwyn's daughter Celyn is not happy being away doing research and wants to come home. Gwendolyn sees four swimmers whom she believes she had last seen many years before.
[Gwendolyn has seen the swimmers before - their meeeting is told from the swimmers' perspective in The Barrier. Knowledge of this is completely irrelevant to the content of this play, but nevertheless, the two plays would work well together.]
