Robby and his band of outlaws haven't robbed anyone in a long time and the women they have brought to the forest are sick of being cooks. The girls rebel and leave the forest. The men go to Nottingham Fair to try and win the archery contest, win the bag of gold and buy the girls some proper ingredients to cook with. The resulting clash with the Sheriff has an unexpected resolution.

SynopsisA musical re-telling of the story of Ruth. The themes included follow closely the threads that weave through the book of Ruth in the Old Testament of the Bible, and relate to subjects close to the hearts of most of us - those of loving kindness, caring and the need for a safe refuge. The music is varied and modern, with sonorities and rhythms quickly recognised and readily learnt by young and old alike - ballads for solo singers and duets, interspersed with pieces, some serious and some comical, for a choir.

Saint Nicholas and the Three Purses of Gold by Timothy Hallett and Nicholas Richards

Technically, there are no characters - that is to say, it could be sung by a soloist. In practice, the intention is for the singing to be shared between several narrators and a chorus whilst the story is mimed by actors.

Samson - The Musical by Sue Gordon
Performance by Cheshire Academy of Performing Arts won the award for Best Junior Production at the Wilmslow Guild One Act Play Festival, 2008
