Tom and Huck by Steven Bergman

Toys in Pieces - The T I P by Philip Bird (music Isabelle Michalakis)
Performance by Potteries Theatre Co. won the 'Originality and Imagination Award' at the Stoke-on-Trent Festival, 2010.
RolesMinimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 5. Minimum total with doubling = 25. Minimum total without doubling = 25. No chorus. Whilst there are twenty-five speaking roles, it would be possible to add additional toys and, particularly, rats. (Oh, and while we're at it, the characters include a seagull.)

Trouble at Inverbraw by Alan J. Laing
RolesMinimum Male roles = 8. Minimum Female roles = 6. Minimum total with doubling = 18. Minimum total without doubling = 26. No chorus. The main characters include English, Scottish and American accents. There are 6 'hotel workers' whose numbers could be cut a little if needed, plus two silent 'elves!' There is also an optional 'prelude' to allow speaking roles to other actors.

The True Story of Richard Whittington Esq. by Geoff Bamber

SynopsisDick Whittington, an orphan, heads for London to seek his fame and fortune. Accompanied by his faithful cat, known as Cat, he gains employment in the home of Lord and Lady Fitzwarren, where he, predictably, falls in love with the daughter of the house, Miss Honoria. Lord Fitzwarren is beset by debts and the predatory threat of the villain of the story, King Rat, who has designs on claiming the family's home. A fanciful scheme to pay off the debts fails and the Fitzwarrens fall into the clutches of the Rats. As Dick desperately tries to think of a solution, the situation is rescued by Cat, returning from an interesting excursion to foreign parts and now armed with special powers, those of the mystic phenomenon known as the Tsobaki!
