Falling Apart by Peter Harrison
2007. Sale One-Act play festival. Joint winner for Best Original Play under original title of The Lift. Production by Altrincham Garrick.

SynopsisUpon leaving their solicitor's office having arranged their divorce settlement Amanda and Andrew find themselves trapped between floors in the lift. The recriminations around their marital problems continue until the arrival of the lift attendant who manages not only to repair the lift but also their marriage, even though he is not all that he seems.

Joe struggles to understand Grace's past relationship with her family, and to help her see the future they could have together.

SynopsisHarry, a homeless and deaf war veteran, intervenes when he sees Val being mugged at the bus stop. Harry is injured and so Val invites him home. But the arguments between Val's family cause great stress to Harry, which is worsened when Harry meets teenage Katie's new boyfriend.

SynopsisThree con-artists set up a series of swindles starting with the pretext of an alchemist who can create charms and turn base metal into gold. Things start to go wrong when too many of their customers arrive at once, and the result is the 17th century equivalent of a multi-door farce, with a different problem lurking behind each door and needing to be kept hidden from the others.

SynopsisPosthumus Leonatus has married Imogen, daughter of Cymbeline, the King of Britain, without permission. That gets Posthumus banished, leaving Imogen behind. Meanwhile, the King's second wife is trying to engineer her son's route to the throne. An Italian braggart causes a rift between Posthumus and Imogen, and with Cybeline's court in disarray, the Romans mount an invasion. How then can the kingdom be saved?
