Aladdin [Short Version] by Geoff Bamber
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 6. Minimum total with doubling = 20. Minimum total without doubling = 20. Chorus. There is a lot of flexibility available in the casting: it would be possible, for example, to play Aladdin as a pantomime principal boy (played by F) and Widow Twankey as a Dame (played by M).

Cinders by Geoff Bamber
Performance by East Leake Amateur Players (Juniors) won the best play award at Notts and Nottingham Drama Association youth festival 2018.
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 4. Minimum total with doubling = 15. Minimum total without doubling = 21. Chorus. The ugly sisters could be played male or female. The Prince is assumed to be played male, but could be played female as a Principal Boy.

SynopsisSelf-obsessed prince meets upwardly-mobile kitchen maid, bent on escaping from dreadful relatives. Cinderella has a ball and the plot has a twist.

Aladdin [Small Cast, Short Version] by tlc Creative

Designed for a small (or very small) cast (with alternative sections to cover the maximum doubling). Hansel and Gretel by Sally Gander
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 3. Minimum total with doubling = 12. Minimum total without doubling = 18. Chorus. Includes a pantomime dame (usually, but not necessarily played by a man), but doesn't have a formal 'principal boy' role. The chorus includes sniggering goblins and a pantomime owl!

SynopsisA few unconventional twists to the Grimm brothers' tale. The witch wants an extention for her cottage. Enter the odd job men, Short and Sweet. (Given that it's a gingerbread cottage, this is a really odd job.) Meanwhile, Hansel and Gretel have got lost in the woods (by following an escaped cake!) and their mother (Dame Betty Knott) is going frantic.

Mr Scrooge by Peter Bond

StyleOne-act comedy with songs and elements of English pantomime, with plenty of opportunities for audience participation. All scenes are interiors, and it could be played with a single set with items of furniture brought on to indicate the different rooms.
SynopsisThis cut-down version of the Dickens' Christmas classic has a Sherlock Holmes cameo for good measure. Audience interaction, a moral and starving orphans mean there's something for everyone here.

Rhyming Captain Hook by Richard Coleman

StyleA comic, rendition of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan as a rhyming pantomime. Minimal set requirements, but includes a comic cookery scene.
SynopsisCaptain Hook plots his revenge on Peter Pan, with the help of a crocodile and a poisoned cake. Peter Pan, Tonkerbell (the punk fairy) and the crocodile have other ideas.
Note that as with all adaptations of Peter Pan, we pay half the author's royalties to Great Ormond Street Hospital
