Beauty and The Beast by Stuart Ardern
RolesMinimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 2. Minimum total with doubling = 17. Minimum total without doubling = 24. Chorus. The usual pantomime ambiguity - Belle and the witch are definitely female. The Beast and the Merchant definitely male. Mrs. Bustle could be female or male (a pantomime dame), the prince is probably a 'principal boy' (played by a girl).

SynopsisThe arrogant prince is turned into The Beast by a scheming witch. He can only redeem himself if someone loves him for what he is. Into the Beast's castle comes a hapless merchant, father of the beautiful Belle. The merchant incurs the Beast's wrath, but when it is time for him to return to face justice from the Beast, Belle returns in his place.

A Boy and Some Beans by Susan Vesey

SynopsisTo pay the rent on the family home, Jack has to sell the beloved cow. On the way home he gives the money to a crone in exchange for a magic bean and falls in love with the daughter of the Baron who's demanding the rent in the first place. Fast forward to the next day and the whole crowd are up the giant beanstalk to discover a smallish giant who hasn't been eating the girls sent up to him on their twenty-first birthdays, but has been treating them in his theme park, Ogreland. Thus Jack's long-lost sister is now, in fact, the Giant's wife, and even the Baron's wife is still alive and kicking. She redoes the Baron's accounts and finds enough money that everyone is let off rent for a year and Jack can marry his girl.

SynopsisFor once the all-conquering Julius is relaxing at home, but action is never far away! One of his court dancers has been turned into a flat cut-out from an Egyptian frieze, and Caesar will stop at nothing to find out who done it - especially if it keeps him away from his wife Calpurnia! He summons an informant and they, along with a bunch of hangers-on and the devilishly handsome Mark Anthony, head off on the trail of the villain. Senna, Caesar's Nanny, dons a variety of disguises to help Caesar, whilst keeping Brutus and fellow conspirators on the wrong track.

Cinderella and the Glass Slipper by Dave Jeanes

Assume the typical English Panto juxtapositions, with men playing the ungly sisters and a girl playing the principal boy. The script also assumes that the chorus is divided into various agegroups, though this is not essential.
