Snow White and the Poisoned Grape by Dominique Vaughan

StyleShort, one-act play for children. No specific set requirements, few props. (Might fit in a pantomime slot for kids - it has some of the themes, but lacks some panto stock characters.)
SynopsisThanks to a shortage of fruit in the castle, the Wicked Queen is forced to enchant a grape to do away with Snow White. Luckily for our heroine, the cat keeps sitting on the spellbooks so things don't work out the way the Queen wanted. And sadly for the handsome Prince, in this version of the tale Jack and his friend the Giant from the beanstalk find Snow White first and wake her with a kiss. The giant becomes the seventh dwarf and Snow White marries Jack, leaving the Prince to head of in search of another Princess to marry.

Stromboli the Puppet Master by Richard Coleman

SynopsisGeppetto makes Pinocchio, whom the Blue Fairy brings alive. Pinocchio is tricked into joining Stromboli's puppet show. He overhears Stromboli's plan to marry, then kill the Duchess Chloroform, so Stromboli must get rid of him. Pinocchio escapes, and Stromboli chases him into the wood, where the Weird Sisters protect him and get their revenge on Stromboli. Pinocchio, achieves his greatest wish to become a real boy. Everybody is happy - Hurrah!

The True Story of Richard Whittington Esq. by Geoff Bamber

SynopsisDick Whittington, an orphan, heads for London to seek his fame and fortune. Accompanied by his faithful cat, known as Cat, he gains employment in the home of Lord and Lady Fitzwarren, where he, predictably, falls in love with the daughter of the house, Miss Honoria. Lord Fitzwarren is beset by debts and the predatory threat of the villain of the story, King Rat, who has designs on claiming the family's home. A fanciful scheme to pay off the debts fails and the Fitzwarrens fall into the clutches of the Rats. As Dick desperately tries to think of a solution, the situation is rescued by Cat, returning from an interesting excursion to foreign parts and now armed with special powers, those of the mystic phenomenon known as the Tsobaki!

When Councillor Purslove makes them redundant they're desperate for work and are grateful to Dick Whittington for using them in his TV commercials. But when he plans to privatise their well and employ them at starvation wages they take matters into their own hands.
