Robby Nudd by Bill Tordoff
RolesMinimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 9. Minimum total with doubling = 25. Minimum total without doubling = 30. Chorus. All the characters are adults, assumed to be played by children or a mixture of adults and children (with particularly the role of Sheriff and Friar open to adults).

SynopsisRobby Nudd has become an outlaw because he's too small to join the police! Robby and his band of outlaws haven't robbed anyone in a long time and the women they have brought to the forest are sick of being cooks. The girls rebel and leave the forest. The men go to Nottingham Fair to try and win the archery contest, win the bag of gold and buy the girls some proper ingredients to cook with. The resulting clash with the Sheriff has an unexpected resolution.

Robin Hood and his Merry Followers by Kate Goddard
RolesMinimum Male roles = 15. Minimum Female roles = 6. Minimum total with doubling = 25. Minimum total without doubling = 26. No chorus. Although many roles are written as male, the author encourages flexibility of casting - at the Producer's discretion.

SynopsisThis fast paced play, includes song and dance, in re-telling the story of how Robin Hood recruited his Merry Followers and their subsequent adventures. They are faced with Prince John and his henchmen, including three soothsaying Hags and a frustrated executioner, as they help Robin and Marion achieve happiness.

Robin Hood and the King's Bling by Geoff Bamber

SynopsisRobin Hood's mission statement - Steal from the Rich, Give to the Poor - is wearing thin with the local villagers who haven't seen much of him doing either. The arrival in the area of King John, complete with a box of royal jewels and an underhand plan for them, presents Robin and his outlaw band with a chance to redeem themselves. Unfortunately for Robin, his arch-enemy, the brutal Sheriff of Nottingham, stands in his way.

Robinson Crusoe - No Man Is An Island by Geoff Bamber
RolesMinimum Male roles = 0. Minimum Female roles = 0. Minimum total with doubling = 15. Minimum total without doubling = 16. No chorus. Most characters are nominally male, however that is merely to indicate a foolhardy disposition, and should not prevent casting against type! Whilst there is no formal chorus, non-speaking warriors and Naval Ratings (strong silent types) could be added.

StyleThe author bills this as a pantomime, and it certainly has some pantomime elements, but it lacks a formal panto structure. Anyway, it's a comedy for kids in one act (and a single set).
SynopsisIt is the year 1751 and Robinson Crusoe, eager to escape the prospect of becoming a schoolteacher, sets out for a life of adventure at sea. The adventure sees him shipwrecked on an apparently deserted island. But he finds that he is not alone as he encounters a less than completely loyal Friday, hostile natives, survivors from another wreck and a trio of unprincipled pirates on the trail of royal treasure.
