SynopsisSet in the Indian Jungle this play for schools combines poetic licence and plenty of humour and songs to retell Rudyard Kipling’s delightful Jungle Book story. A man-cub has escaped the clutches of Shere Khan, a ferocious tiger intent on revenge. Adopted by wolves Mowgli the man-cub is taught the ways of the jungle by Baloo the Bear and his friend Bagheera. Follow Mowgli on his adventures in the jungle as he gets to know the other animals, especially the hilarious Bandar Log monkeys. Will Mowgli and his birth mother, Messua, be reunited?

The Jungle Book [Play] by Hugh Farey

SynopsisMowgli, a child separated from his village by Shere Khan, the tiger, is found by a company of wolves. Bagheera the panther persuades the wolves to protect the child, and Mowgli is brought up in the jungle - where he has both friends and enemies.

Jungle Rock by Sue Gordon

Whilst some of the characters are nominally male or female (for example, the narrators are referred to as 'she'), gender is not integral to the plot.

Although the children are initially swayed, they return to their home in the nick of time, preventing Gasco from destroying their paradise.
