Soon they're passed from Aunt to Uncle and back to the original interviewer, but no one is really saying what they mean.

She believes her family heirloom ring is worth $10,000, so she's shocked when the pawnshop owner, Mr Meyer, only offers her $650 for it. Why is he taking advantage of her desperation, and is she too proud to accept?
