Nanny State by Nigel Holloway

SynopsisWhen Bernard dies, his wife discovers he's been writing a political blog that has galvanised the country. She steps into his shoes, fights a campaign and becomes Prime Minister. But the cost is high for saving the country.
A hard-hitting political play, posing the question 'Could the Grey vote really change the world?' However, when it comes down to it, the play is not about how to right the wrongs of governing the country, it's about one woman's blindness to the people closest to her, about losing sight of the things that really matter in life.

The Master of his college is inclined to dismiss it as a bit of undergraduate exuberance but Lord Eldon, Lord Chancellor of England and old member of the college, takes a much more serious view.

Not 2B by George Freek

Amanda especially would be a joy of a part - a scatty woman who's raised two wildly ambitious children, kind and soft except when she gets onto the subject of her ex-husband when she becomes positively possessed.

SynopsisValerie is dead but unable to leave her house, now occupied by her son and his wife Zoe - the cause of her fury and her enforced sit-in. Her grandson arrives to find his mother making plans for his sister’s wedding. When the bride and groom and his father arrive for the weekend along with the groom’s psychic mother, scandalous revelations lead to the wedding plans being blown apart and a ruined weekend, although chaotic events lead to Valerie’s happy release.

SynopsisThe nursery toys are mostly happy with their lot in life - only Ragdoll feels unwanted, so it doesn't surprise her when bureaucratic Fairy Crackernuts arrives and announces they're having 'a re-shuffle'. What does surprise her is that Teddy is the who's been made redundant...
