Synopsis:
Based on actual events, we see care home resident Ada relate her personal history to the rather flippant young cub reporter Claire, who at first is there on sufferance. As Ada's tragic story enfolds, Claire becomes increasingly interested and empathetic, and realises that her naïve impression of the old days belies the inherent prejudices which existed to shape and ruin people's lives.
