Style:
A full length play, divided into three acts, with many short scenes in different locations.
Synopsis:
A re-telling of a true story about Elsie Knocker and her friend Mairi Chisholm, who were instrumental in establishing and maintaining a hospital, close to the front line at Ypres during the First World War. They were both awarded the Military Medal, were decorated by the Belgian King, and probably became the most photographed women of their time. This play follows them from their first meeting to the irrevocable breakdown of their friendship in 1919.
