A short one act adaptation of a Greek myth
Synopsis:
A dramatic retelling of Sophocles’ tragedy, suitable for performance by secondary/high school students and youth theatre. Two brothers died fighting each other for the throne of Thebes in Ancient Greece. Creon, the new ruler, has decided to honour one (Eleocles) and shame the other (Polynices). Their sister Antigone defies Creon's order and wants to arrange an honourable burial for Polynices.
