Robin Hood by Bob Heather and Cheryl Barrett
RolesMinimum Male roles = 1. Minimum Female roles = 2. Minimum total with doubling = 16. Minimum total without doubling = 26. Chorus. Since this is a pantomime, Robin Hood's Merry Men need not actually be men! This principle may well apply to other characters. Includes a pantomime horse.

SynopsisWhen Robin Hood returns to Nottingham after a stint in the crusades, he meets the Sheriff's ward, Maid Marion and falls in love, only to find out that the Sheriff himself has designs on er. Marion isn't the only thing the Sheriff desires, the whole of Sherwood Forest is under threat of his evil plans when Robin's outlaws discover plans for the forest to be chopped down for the Sheriff's new money-grabbing venture. Robin and his band of Merry Men with the aid of Holly Jockey-Sticks, the woodland Fairy, Nellie Scarlet (Marion's nanny) and her son Wally set out to thwart the evil Sheriff once and for all to ensure good will always win over evil.

Robin Hood - The Pantomime by Bob Hammond

Many characters are written male, but this is a pantomime, so the casting is very flexible! SynopsisDame Nursie and Red Riding Hood, Robin's sister, recruit the Merry Men to retrieve the magic arrow and free King Richard - who languishes in the evil Sheriff's dungeons. The Sheriff’s henchmen, together with the witch and a big bad wolf try to thwart them, but good defeats evil in the end.

SynopsisPrince John is taxing Nottingham beyond endurance. Robin Hood and his band keep things from getting out of hand by taking the taxes back from the Sheriff and giving them to the poor. Prince John's sister, Dame Twinklebottom, announces that Maid Marion will marry her wet son, Tarquin, giving the Dame and Prince access to Marion's money. Meanwhile Tarquin harbours a secret desire to be a weatherman and Marion falls for Robin. Chases, weddings and prisons follow, as they normally do!

Double-crossed by treasure-seeking pirates, he is thrown overboard only to be washed-up on a desert island where he meets... well, rather a lot of people, as it happens, only a few of whom are cannibals...
