The Silent Princess by Geoff Bamber

SynopsisThere is a crisis at the Royal Court. The Princess is unable to speak, courtesy of an evil fairy's spell. As her hopeful suitor, Prince Arkalan, is on his way, the Princess's voice must be found. The onerous task falls to the Prime Minister who ultimately finds himself leading an expedition to the lair of Morgana the Sorceress. Morgana will have a miracle cure - surely. Well, she might but she needs a lot of persuading. Even then, success is far from assured, even with Prince Arkalan himself joining the mission.

Sing by Tim O'Brien

SynopsisThis play portrays a slice of Elizabethan life and follows on from 'A Slice of Tudor Life' by the same author. They can be used separately or together to give an overview of the Tudor Dynasty. Narrators and various characters from Elizabeth's life, including the ghost of her father King Henry VIII, comment on her personality and events in her life until her death.

SynopsisJohn Fisher is an ambitious reporter, despatched to the darkest depths of the west country to investigate smuggling. Where better to start than the atmospheric 'Smuggler's Rest' inn, despite the landlady's assurances that there are no smugglers? The constant attentions of Captain Elwood of His Majesty's Revenue Service persuade John that there are indeed rum goings-on to look into. John and Lucy, the landlady's daughter, find themselves caught between the determined excise men and the ruthless smugglers with only the questionable assistance of the ghost of Old Granny Steggles to aid them.
