One in the Eye by Bill Siviter with Lea Anderson
RolesMinimum Male roles = 5. Minimum Female roles = 1. Minimum total with doubling = 13. Minimum total without doubling = 21. Chorus. Since the characters include 'William's Army' and 'Harold's Army' the numbers are rather vague (or very flexible, depending on the gloss you want to apply). Most of the characters are supposedly male, but don't let that stop you.

Parents! by Margaret Histed

Perseus - A Hero's Headhunt by Nicholas Richards
RolesMinimum Male roles = 4. Minimum Female roles = 4. Minimum total with doubling = 8. Minimum total without doubling = 25. No chorus. Whilst there are nominally 25 roles, the piece is structured for flexibility - and could be played as a series of linked sketches with different actors playing the recurring characters.

Perseus and the Gorgon's Head by Geoff Bamber
RolesMinimum Male roles = 5. Minimum Female roles = 3. Minimum total with doubling = 9. Minimum total without doubling = 24. No chorus. Twenty-three speaking roles plus non-speaking builders. Very flexible casting, with lots of opportunities for doubling (Perseus, for example, could bear an uncanny resemblance to his father!)

StyleOne-act comedy play for kids. (One-act in length, four acts in structure.) A retelling of Greek myth. No set requirements.
SynopsisDanae and her son Perseus are thrown out of Argos. (The play doesn't say where they do their shopping after that.) They are washed-up on the island of Seriphos, where King Polydectes has designs on Danae. To get rid of Perseus, Polydectes sends him on a quest to bring back the head of the Gorgon Medusa. With help from unlikely quarters (gods, the Delphic Oracle, that sort of thing), Perseus succeeds. Pausing only to rescue the beautiful Andromeda, he returns to Seriphos and fulfils his destiny with a javelin.

Peter and The Violin Teacher by Nicholas Richards
RolesMinimum Male roles = 2. Minimum Female roles = 0. Minimum total with doubling = 2. Minimum total without doubling = 2. No chorus. The characters are both written male - one old, eccentric adult, and one young, precocious boy. Could be played with the ages as written, but could also be played by two children or two adults.

The Pied Piper of Hamelin - A Question of Rats by Geoff Bamber

SynopsisThe Mayor of Hamelin needs a plan to rid the town of a gang of disagreeable rats. He decides to offer a reward for their removal and the challenge is successfully taken up by a mysterious pipe-playing stranger. However the Mayor's popularity among the celebrating townsfolk takes a downturn when he refuses to pay the stranger and the town's children go the way of the rats. Is there another plan? Apparently not.

A Pig is a Pig is a Pig by Gerald P. Murphy

Nominally three men and three women, but the genders of the characters are not integral to the story (and have been changed from the original short story), so they can be switched around as required.

A Pig Tale by Kevin Jannetts
Production by Loch Duich Primary School won Adjudicator's special award. South West Ross District Youth SCDA Festival 2016.
RolesMinimum Male roles = 1. Minimum Female roles = 1. Minimum total with doubling = 7. Minimum total without doubling = 7. Chorus. The chorus is the sort that rushes on to perform songs and dances in various guises! Most of the roles are gender-neutral, although one of the pigs is called Maureen and the wolf is called Alan, both of which tend to be specific.

StyleOne-act family comedy show with music. A fairytale send-up. Contains Scottish accents!
SynopsisThe story of the Three Pigs gets a revamp in this Scots story, allowing a couple of Narrators to bring the story to life with anthropomorphic pigs struggling to find a story they can take part in to keep their deal with a Fairy Solicitor. Add in a Big Bad Wolf called Alan, and it all works out fine in the end.
