Imaginary Friends by Geoff Bamber

Imperfect Speakers by Wally Smith

StyleShort play - something of a political thriller. Simple set - the interpreters' booth at an international conference - which could even, at a pinch, be played front-of-curtain (though it requires a few small desks). Includes swearing.
SynopsisAndy and Nigel are two old school friends reunited whilst translating at an international environmental summit. Nigel has always been a rabble-rouser but Andy and Ingrid, a German translator with a teddy bear, both realize that his responsibility as a diplomatic translator and his interest in politics overlap a little too keenly.
